Downs comes the bombs
Al Qaeda fanatics plumbed sickening new depths yesterday when they turned two women with Down's syndrome into human bombs to kill 70 people in Baghdad. They are obviously running out of suicide volunteers. It's a sign of weakness on their part. It turns out that notwithstanding Jihadi propaganda, not many Muslims actually want to kill themselves.

Indeed. It's not the "suicide" part of a suicide-homicide bombing that represents a problem. Though in this case, it was pure homicide, as it also was in the cases where bombs were strapped to babies.

Oh gee, now the leftists who normally campaign for the rights of the disabled have an atrocity to overlook. The one good thing about this war is just how many Leftist special interest groups are choosing anti-Americanism over protecting the groups they claim to have been established to represent.

As I said in my post, the sheer outrageousness of the action is intended to make Americans react stupidly and increase hostility on both sides, letting the terrorists offer themselves as saviors from evil western ways. You could also ask why they chose pet stores as a target; the purpose is the same.

Actually, I think they've taken to using children and the mentally retarded as suicide bombers because, as they lose the war, it's harder and harder for them to find adult people of normal intelligence to volunteer to kill themselves for the Cause.

You could also ask why they chose pet stores as a target; the purpose is the same.

More likely, because pet stores sell dogs, and dogs are "unclean."

I've read the Koran a couple of times, and this isn't remotely from that world view. This is more like something the really evil version of The Joker would do.
